  POLSON COMMUNITY CHURCH
July 11, 2010

Vice-chairperson, Jack Thomas, called the meeting to order at 11:10 am.

Pastor opened the meeting with prayer.

Kathi read the minutes of the June 20th annual meeting and they were approved as read.

Pastor had nothing to report.

Sandy presented the treasurer's report and it was approved as presented.  Jim Loebbecke pointed out that we need to keep an eye on donations since they are down a bit at this time.

Hub reported for the trustees that the landscaping project is not  finished yet as we still need someone to finish the electrical work.

Jim Loebbeke reported that the Missions committee met and made plans for the upcoming year.  80% will be spent toward spreading the gospel and 20% will go toward other miscellaneous missions.  They added a disaster fund for emergencies and eliminated the Polson Senior Center as a recipient.  The board members met about the Strategic Planning Program and will get information on this project out to everyone soon.

Steve Mahaffey talked about a neighbor that Max Neeley felt was encroaching on our property with his rubbish and garden and Steve is in agreement with Max.  A crucial boundary survey pin has been removed.  Steve will contact Carstens Surveying to get the line reset with a cement pin.  If the neighbor is encroaching Steve will talk to him about moving his garden and rubbish.  If all else fails we may have to consider a fence along the property line.

Sandy asked permission to have a central office supply storage area and Steve made a motion to do so.  Jim Hadley 2nd and the motion carried.

Jim asked why the request to be sure and close the gate as you leave was made.  Just to make sure nothing troublesome or illegal is taking place on our property.  Pastor suggested that we give a gift to John Kelly for keeping an eye on our church grounds.  We will discuss it further at the next board meeting.

Next meeting will be August 8th.
Meeting adjourned at 11:50am.

Respectfully submitted,

Kathi Neeley
Secretary
