POLSON COMMUNITY CHURCH Board Minutes
February 14, 2010
Chairperson, Boy Henneman, called the meeting to order at 11:55 am.
Attending were Kathi Neeley, Boyd Henneman, Pastor Richard, Jim Hadley, Sandy Weaver, Ruth Baxter, John Morgan, Ruth Blais and Steve Mahaffey.
Pastor opened the meeting with prayer.
Kathi read the minutes of the January, 2010 meeting and they were approved as read.
Ruth Baxter presented information on Church World Service and kits for Baby Care as a possible mission donation. Pastor voiced concern that maybe the donation we send would not actuallly go where it is needed. He would like to shift the emphasis to spreading the gospel and other missionary work. This information will be presented to Jim Loebbecke. Audio bibles are also another option for a mission donation. Boyd suggested that Ruth attend the next meeting of the Mission's Committee. Ruth left the meeting at this point. Max said he would like to see the church send another donation to Haiti in the near future.
Pastor wants to make sure our donations help where they are most needed and he will also attend the next Mission's meeting. We need to be making arrangements for someone to cover sermons and Seekers while he is on vacation.
Sandy presented the treasurer's report and said she has questions for the Mission's Committee about dispersing funds to designated programs and the amount budgeted for the mission's fund. Boyd will talk to Loran Frazier when he returns and they will get answers for Sandy. Steve Mahaffey made a motion to accept the report as presented and Jim Hadley 2nd. Motion carried.
No trustee report.
Susan Hadley submitted a request for use of the church facilities in September for the appreciation luncheon for The Country Store employees. Ruth Blais made a motion to grant permission and Max 2nd. Motion carried.
Meeting adjourned at 12:25 pm.
Respectfully submitted,
Kathi Neeley
Secretary

1. Usage restricted to non-profit organizations only and at the discretion of the Board.
2. A request must be made to the church for consideration by the Trustees and to avoid scheduling conflicts.
3. A Church Board member or a person from the congregation designated by the Trustees will open and close the building. No keys will be loaned out.
